The standoffs fit, but there is room for the backplate to move. I cannot find any youtube videos on people doing anything other than the LGA 1151/AM3 installations, nor can I find anyone discussing how to fit this X bracket with the backplate. Their guide on installation is not at all specific about a backplate. Supposedly this is all you need to mount the cooler to the AM4.
